Lucille has new oil, filter, and transmission fluid. If anyone is looking for a great auto repair shop, I highly recommend Standard Auto Care; they are a family owned business. When I could no longer find a dealership to take her to, without driving to Fairfield, I had to find a repair shop I trusted to work on her. I checked out the reviews on a number of shops but Standard really stood out among the others I looked at. They do outstanding work; they are the ones I trust to work on Lucille and now I won't let anyone else work on her. Last year Lucille needed some major work; not uncommon for a car 16 years old. After Standard Auto Care did the work she now runs like she just came off the lot when I bought her and I don't just say stuff like that if it isn't true. I always get a long stem rose when I leave and they always tie a little cellophane bag of saltwater taffy to my steering wheel. Thank you Tom, Sue and Greg

Friendly staff. The oil change was a great price, and they have a punch-card system that is an even better deal. Prices for some services were more than I could afford, but probably not much different from other places in the area. At the end of the day they gave me a rose and some chocolate, which was nice!

I had a mechanic for 25 years but currently live in Midtown Sac. I wanted a shop closer to where I live and chose Standard Auto Care. My car has over 120K and needed a great deal of work that I had put off. Diagnostics were done and Tom and Sue were really great about suggesting what the most important repairs needed asap and others that could be done later. I opted to get everything taken care of right away and the mechanic reviewed the parts with me post repair. I have been extremely pleased with the people, the pricing, repairs and timely completion! I would recommend Standard to family and friends.

Standard Auto Care is the best shop we've ever used - we won't take our vehicles anywhere else! Recently when my battery died, they offered to come get my truck (tow it in) free of charge, if necessary. (I was able to jump start it so didn't have to...) Having the peace of mind that no matter what goes wrong with our vehicles, they'll take care of us, is such a great feeling. Honest, helpful, thorough, friendly, reasonable...
