I have been going to Standard Auto Care for years now because I trust their quality of work, integrity, honesty and fair pricing. It’s often very hard to put “honest” and “good” in the same sentence when speaking of auto repair shops but not so with Standard Auto Care. They are very courteous and professional from the staff to the owner Tom. Tom is a great guy and has become more of a friend than just the auto shop that does my repairs. I would recommend them to anybody.

Honest people, I have gotten my Honda accord serviced by them, upfront and honest. They even gave me a free car to use while mine got an oil change.

My 19 year old son knew something was not quite right with his car, so we took it to Standard Auto Care. They found the problem and explained it, fixed it, and charged a fair price for the repair. I trust their judgment on what needs to be repaired, and they don't push any unnecessary repairs or parts on you. Finally, we have found a trustworthy, reliable auto care facility who I actually enjoy visiting with the staff and feel my car is in good hands.

I own a Volkswagen. If you own a European car and something goes wrong....you get an immediate pit feeling in your stomach because you know it may not go well. I needed a repair shop that 1. repairs VW's, 2. is close to my office and 3. is fair on price. Well, I found the spot. Standard Auto Care on Colfax Street. This shop works on domestics and European vehicles. The shop is incredibly clean and inviting. Coffee or water available, flat screen TV and a comfortable waiting area. The shop has been in business for over 17 years and the owner is very personable and knowledgeable. Tom addressed my concerns before he did diagnostics on my vehicle. He has loaner vehicles, free tow and finance options for those on a budget. My repair was taken care of that day, and I found the pricing very fair unlike other shops I have been too. Lot of special attention to details such as a thank you note on my rear view mirror, candy bag tied to my steering wheel and a rose too! Very nice touches. I am not taking my vehicle anywhere else but to Standard Auto Care - great place.

This is the best place in the world to take your car for maintenance. Tom Hipp runs a family owned repair shop with all the personal touches. You get emails and monthly newsletters once you become a customer. While a customer, Tom gives you a lot of communication on how things are progressing and how much it will cost. There are a few other special touches that you have to experience on your own. I will never trust anyone else to my baby again. Great job, Tom and crew!

Tom has been taking care of our two vehicles for over a year now and we think he and his staff do a GREAT job. We haven't been back to the dealer's service department since we found Standard Auto Care. Honest, reliable, reasonably priced, fast service. The loaner car is very convenient, too. Their car care program is a great value. Highly recommend.

Absolutely phenomenal service. Saw them deal with a difficult customer respectfully, received complementary chocolates and a rose and a prioritized list of things to do my vehicle. fantastic place. I'll be back

I have used Standard Auto Care for several years for several of my cars, my children's cars and my wife's car and have always gotten excellent service and great prices. They always take the time to explain any service or parts needed and give me other options if available. They do a great job from the service on your car to the friendly receptionist when you walk in the door. They guarantee their work. I really think you can't go wrong using Standard Auto Care for all your car care needs

After reading the reviews on Yelp, I sent an email to Standard Auto Care to see if I could bring my car in on my lunch hour. Sue wrote me back immediately and told me it would be no problem. I didn't need major work done that day but I had a concern that I needed checked. I arrived during my lunch and met Sue and Tom. They made me feel so welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The customer service at this business is exactly what I was looking for and unfortunately these days, hard to find. Standard Auto Care has my business going forward and I will recommend them to anyone who needs an honest, reputable auto shop. I was in and out in no time at all and they found that I do need my transmission fluid flushed but they didn't scare me like my car was going to break down at any minute. The quote was very reasonable and I will be going back to have it taken care of soon.
